2008 National Idea-to-Product® (I2P™) Competition for Social Entrepreneurship

Each presentation will consist of a 10 minute student presentation followed by 15 minutes of Judges Q&A
   Criteria for Participation in the 2008 Idea-to-Product® Competition for Social Entrepreneurship include:
  • Partnership with Local, National or International non-profit organization.
  • Clearly identify the benefits the product provides that is in keeping with the social mission of the Project Partner.
  • Clearly describe the technology and its status.
  • Identify opportunities for entrepreneurship and the process of developing products for the commercial market.
  • Indicate initial market and the scalability of the product.
  • Identify the potential to protect the intellectual property embodied in the products they created.
  • Demonstrate the completion of an initial prior art search to insure the new product does not infringe on other protected IP.
  • Identify any barriers to entry.
